Notes on Washington Energy Company history:

  1. On Aug. 9, 1978, Washington Natural Gas became a subsidiary under the parent company name of Washington Energy Company. Washington Energy Company common stock traded under the symbol “WECO” and continued to be traded over-the-counter.

  2. In 1989, Washington Energy Company was listed on the NASDAQ and continued to trade under the symbol “WECO”.

  3. On August 4, 1992, Washington Energy Company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange; and its trading symbol changed to “WEG”.

  4. On Feb. 10, 1997, Puget Sound Power & Light Company and Washington Energy Company merged.

    1. Merged company name was Puget Sound Energy, Inc.
